Southwest Connecticut Summer Savers Awards
Application Instructions

To apply for the Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and  Peak Performer Summer Saver Awards:

You will need records of your utility bills for May through September for the years 2007, 2008, and 2009. You have the option of submitting copies of these records with your application.

  1. Download the Southwest Connecticut Summer Savers documents from the program website, (http://www.summersaver.state.ct.us). These are in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel format. The documents you will need to download are:
  2. Applicants should submit a single Application Form for all of the buildings and facilities they wish to consider for consideration of an award. However, each building or facility included in the application for an award will need its own Calculation Sheet.
  3. For each building or facility, open a new Calculation Sheet (Summer Savings Calculation.xls). Enter your utility records for that building into the Calculation Sheet. Only enter data in the gray-shaded cells. The Calculation Sheet will calculate your total, peak, and percentage electricity use reductions.
  4. For each building or facility, take the results (from lines 41, 42, 43, and 44 of the Calculation Sheet) and add it to the Application Form (in section 4, the results section.)

To apply for the Peak Performer Award:

You will need to have participated in ISO New England’s Load Response Program.

  1. Download the Southwest Connecticut Summer Savers documents from the program website, http://www.summersaver.state.ct.us.
  1. Provide information from ISO New England indicating that you were a participant in the ISO’s Load Response Program, and that this participation was not based on the use of fossil fuel-fired backup generation equipment.
     
  2. Enter the date and the peak kW reduced during each incident.
     
  3. Please submit two copies of your application by February 19, 2010,
     to the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management,
